Francesca Gavin in conversation with Justine Nguyen

We welcome you to a conversation with T-Yard writer in residence in 2026, Francesca Gavin.

Gavin has a multi-faceted career working as an editor, writer, curator and consultant. She is currently Editor-in-Chief of EPOCH (www.epoch-review.com), an annual publication looking at connections between history and the now. She is also the art editor at Twin magazine, as well as a regular contributor to the Financial Times, Cura, Hero and other publications. 

Tonight, we will delve into Gavin’s practice and come closer to how she moves across medias and platforms in her work as a curator, editor and writer. 

The conversation is lead by the Bergen-based art critic Justine Nguyen, who writes for Morgenbladet and Museum. Nguyen has a master degree in art history from the University of Oslo, and has also studied acting and scenography at École Internationale de Théâtre Jacques Lecoq. The last years she has had different roles in the museum sector and the independent art scene. In her work, she explores the transitions between theory, creativity and autobiography.

The conversation starts at 18:00 and lasts until 19:00.
