Bergen Art Book Talkshow
Talkshow about print and its close relation to independent publishing.
Large scale publishers often see print as a necessary evil: it needs to be done, it needs to be quick, it needs to be cheap, and the least sustainable solutions are often what is chosen. For independent publishers, the print plays a larger role in the artistic process. The love of print is present and the mind sees possibilities rather than obstacles.
The Norwegian writer, journalist, and publisher Ane Nydal will interview
Pil Cappelen Smith //Cappelens Forslags Conversational Lexicon//
Ane Thon Knutsen //A Printing Press of One’s Own//
Bjørn Hegardt //Fukt Magazine//
Eirik Høyer Leivestad //House of Foundation//
The panel will share their experiences from their amazing printed projects, and talk about current trends / trials and tribulations within independent publishing.
